The Horn, Hartzells and Mensch's once again gathered for their family reunion. The day was sunny and warm. There was a breeze when we first started arriving at Bangor Park and they continued through lunch but then pretty much went away early on in the day. The family sat down to eat. There was plenty of food to choose from. After lunch we had the meeting. After the meeting some of the family sat down to play cards or to talk. While others played volleyball or went swimming. I heard one young child remark that the water was cold. Later while the card players were still at it the rest sat down to play bingo. I had to leave but the party seemed to be still going strong when I left. My father got back home around 7pm and he said everyone was leaving about the same time. It must have been a day enjoyed by all.
The meeting:
The meeting was called to order by Floyd Mensch. Apparently Floyd was acting as President for the present Melvin Hartzell.
The secretaries report was read by Lynn B Coyle. No corrections or errors.
The treasurers report was read by Suzanne Sartini. Balance as of July 11, 1999 - $144.15.
Deposits (last years collection) - $107.00. Interest - $4.81. Dispersments (Elton Horn for the rental of the pavilion for today's gathering) - $50.00. Balance as of today - $205.97. We took a collection of $131.00 up today.
Next year the Hartzells will be in charge of deciding where to hold the reunion and renting wherever that may be. If its here again okay but there is some concern amongst the older people about the hill to get to the pavilion. Floyd asked if we wanted to give the Hartzells $50 right now to reserve. Scott Mensch's made the motion and Clark Mensch seconded. The I's have it.
Suzanne gave the Hartzells $50.00 towards reservations. If it is more they will have to let Suzanne know. The reunion will be the second Saturday in July again for the year 2001.

Hartzells:
First "no changes" were reported then it was recalled the Allison and Jody each had a baby girl. No facts were known by the Hartzells at the meeting. They said Betty Jane would know more but she did not return during the meeting that I was aware of nor did she find me during the day and I truthfully forgot about it.

Lynn Coyle turned in her receipt for the post cards she mails out as reminders/invites. Floyd asked that we agree to let Lynn be reimbursed for the bill. $24.00. The family members agreed.
Suzanne did not have exactly $24.00 so Lynn took only $20.00 and asked that the remaining $4.00 remain in the collection as her donation.
Floyd adjourned the meeting. Angie Cyphers made the motion and Elton Horn seconded.
Respectfully,
